Car or bus tour

Auto Safari Chapín is the first zoo in Central America where you can drive through in your car. Your car windows and doors are the only things that separate you from the animals.

Recorrido en MicrobsBus tour.

During the tour you will pass by different paddocks divided by semi-natural fencing and doors that open remotely by operators perched in towers scattered throughout the park.

Recorrido en VehculoThe road through the zoo.

We have 14 paddocks, one of them being a rest area where you can get out of the car and rest. In this paddock you can use the restrooms, buy drinks or snacks and see some of the animals from elevated platforms. The entire tour, including rest stops, will take about 1 and a half hours to complete.

Pedestrian Zoo

In this portion of our zoo, you can see Central American and local fauna, as well as some international species. Most of the animals in this portion now live in larger enclosures instead of cages, replicating their natural habitat as best as possible. This allows you to see the animals directly with no cage material between you and them.

As we continue to expand the park, we remove the cages and create these open enclosures so that our animals live more comfortably, have space to run and play and for you to enjoy them better.

You will also find the aviaries, where you can walk inside a large enclosure to see different species of birds. We also have several lookout platforms in the pedestrian zoo, where you can see the car tour paddocks from a different perspective.
